Beaufort County Schools issued the following announcement on Dec. 5.
Four local schools created Christmas cards to accompany gifts given to the seniors in Beaufort County by the Salvation Army.
Eastern Elementary, Chocowinity Primary, John Small Elementary, and SW Snowden were all participants.
The Salvation Army asked if our students could make 300 cards, yet close to 500 came in! Every school that participated thanked BCS for the opportunity and said how much the kids enjoyed making them.
Sergeant Allen Atkins accepted the cards on behalf of the Salvation Army.
