City of Elizabeth City issued the following announcement on July 23.

Ready for the BIGGEST, BEST, MOST MIND-BLOWING Coast Guard Day event you’ve ever seen? 

 Join us to celebrate the birthday of the world’s premier maritime service on August 4th. 

Headlining our musical entertainment is one of the east coast’s most sought after country southern rock groups…THE DANIEL JORDAN BAND with special solo acts by JONAS HEARD from J-Heard and The Henchmen.

With multiple rides and games for the kids, vendor booths, and food catered by Currituck BBQ Company this promises to be a fun-filled day for the WHOLE FAMILY!!!

Tickets for Active Duty, Reservists, Auxiliarists, dependents, retirees, and CG civilian employees can be obtained through your unit Morale Officer. 

 Tickets for non-military, contractors, and their dependents can be purchased at Hangar 7.
