City of Elizabeth City Police Department issued the following announcement on Sept. 13.

Members of the Elizabeth City Police Department Administration, Detective, CSI, Drug, and Criminal Intelligence Divisions walked the area of Shepard, White, and Brown street today. The Elizabeth City Police Department is increasing our presence in the public.

The Elizabeth City Police Department wants the citizens to know that we do not have any reported calls on the originating post. We urge all citizens “If You See Something Say Something.”

Don’t be alarmed if you see us in your neighborhood, please communicate with us and let us know your concerns for your area.
