City of Havelock issued the following announcement on Feb. 5.

We are proud that the funds we raise through the Havelock Chili Festival support not only local nonprofit organizations, but a scholarship program, as well.

This academic and need-based scholarship is awarded annually to two Havelock seniors in the amount of $500. 

Eligible candidates must be seniors at Havelock High School or Early College EAST.
