City of Havelock issued the following announcement on Nov. 6.

We have rescheduled the Big Sweep Event for Saturday, November 5th. at 9:00 a.m.Sign-in and supply pick up will be in the following locations:New Bern- Riverfront Convention Center, the additional parking lot across from entrance, 203 S. Front St.Havelock- City Hall parking lot, 1 Governmental Ave.Vanceboro- Town Hall parking lot, 7905 Main St.Cove City- Town Hall parking lot, 204 S. Main St.

You will be given all the supplies needed, grabbers, safety vests, gloves and trash bags. Just leave the filled trash bags and other items collected on the roadside and we will pick them up.

We suggest you wear closed toe shoes!
