CITY OF HAVELOCK: Ordinance Permitting Chickens for Personal Domestic Use within the Corporate limits of Havelock

City of Havelock issued the following announcement on Sept. 26.

During the September 26, 2022 Havelock Board of Commissioners meeting, the Board unanimously adopted an ordinance permitting chickens for personal domestic use within the corporate limits of Havelock. 

The maximum number of chickens allowed per a single-family parcel will be based upon zoning district. 

The image depicted below provides additional information regarding this new ordinance and required permits. 

For compliance purposes, a 90-day grace period, beginning 09/27/22, will be provided to residents that already have chickens.
