CITY OF NEW BERN: Santa might bring someone a historic home for Christmas!

City of New Bern issued the following announcement on Nov. 14.

Santa might bring someone a historic home for Christmas!

Proposals for acquisition of the #freehouse Tisdale House on Broad Street are due by Monday, November 21.

Previously, interested parties had to have control/ownership of their own lot.

The City has proposed moving the house to a city-owned lot on Rhem Avenue & last week reopened the opportunity for proposals.

The new owner would purchase the lot & be responsible for all expenses involved with moving the house.
