City of Washington issued the following announcement on June 29.

We hope everyone is having a great holiday weekend! 

There is some mis-information going around regarding 4th of July activities hosted by the City of Washington!

The City WILL be hosting a fireworks  show on Monday, July 4th at 9 pm. 

There are no other events, including the ones being promoted below, hosted by the City of Washington. This particular ad is from years ago; please disregard.

We wanted to clarify this as people are making plans for tomorrow.
