City of Washington issued the following announcement on Mar. 31.

NCDOT will be closing US 17 Business at the intersection of 5th Street (US-264) and Bridge St (US-17 BUS) in Washington beginning Monday April 4, 2022 at 8:00AM.  This closure will be in place until Friday April 8, 2022 at 5:00PM. Traffic will be detoured to 3rd street during this time.
