City of Washington issued the following announcement on Nov. 19.

Many City of Washington facilities and offices will be closed Thursday & Friday, Nov. 24 & 25, for the Thanksgiving holiday.  

 No solid waste pickup Nov. 24: Service slides one day. No yard waste collection: Thurs., Nov. 24th & Fri., Nov. 25th

Some will reopen Nov. 25, including Moore Aquatic and Fitness Center from 8 am-Noon

Events Free Community Thanksgiving Dinner Thursday at Captain Cooks 

– NoonLight up the City 

– Friday at 6 pm Shop Small Saturday
