County of Chowan issued the following announcement on Jan. 26.

The new filing period is rescheduled for: February 24th 8:00 am thru March 4th 12:00 pm

The offices and filing fees for each position that can be registered at our office are now posted on the Web site.

There are a few days when the office will have reduced hours. please call ahead to make sure there is someone in the office on the day that you will be visiting. This way you will not make the trip for nothing if we are not available.

Because of the injury of the deputy and her longer period of PT, the Election office may need to be open for limited hours on some days.

As stated above please call before you come to the office in case we are not in the office. I will post as often as I can the hours that we may be closed or when I know there are limited hours for the office to be opened.

Limited hours of operation:

Because of unavailability of workers the office may experience temporary closing periods or shortened hours of operation.

Please call to make sure we will be there when you are coming to the office
