County of Craven issued the following announcement on Apr. 28.
Parents and caregivers have a significant influence on their children’s decisions about using alcohol and other drugs. It’s never too late to start talking with your teen about the risks of underage drinking and other substance use. As teens get older, they make more decisions on their own, and often face peer pressure and temptation. For more information on how to address these issues with your children early and often, visit https://www.samhsa.gov/talk-they-hear-you.
