FOIA Request to Jones County regarding vendor payment register on February 1, 2026.
A request for public records was submitted by IBX News to Jones County, North Carolina, under the North Carolina Public Records Law, G.S. §132-1. The request seeks access to the county’s vendor payment register for the immediately preceding calendar month. This includes details such as the names of vendors paid by the county, dates and amounts of payments, and descriptions of goods or services purchased.
The request specifies that it is limited to existing records and does not require the creation of new documents. The information is sought in an electronic format if available. Should any part of this request be denied, IBX News has asked for a specific statutory basis for such denial and requests that all reasonably segregable portions of the records be released.
