Craven County issued the following announcement on Feb. 12.

Potable water served by the Craven County Water System (NCPWS ID # 04-25-055) has been restored to near capacity.  Samples collected from multiple locations within the system have been analyzed by a State Certified Laboratory and found to be free of coliform bacteria.

Based on these results and the continued presence of consistent pressure throughout the system,

the PRESSURE ADVISORY is RESCINDED, EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY.

Persons served by this system are urged to continue to manage their water usage and consumption, and report any leaks or problems to the Craven County Water system.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation,

Al Gerard, Water Superintendent
