Cost of college was unchanged for all students at Beaufort County Community College

In-state tuition and fees were unchanged for 2018-19 at Beaufort County Community College, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

North Carolina residents paid $2,518 to attend the two-year public institution in both the 2017-18 and 2018-19 academic years.

Non-residents paid 244 percent more than residents this year, or $8,662. Their price tag was unchanged from $8,662 in 2017-18.

About 98 percent of the school's undergraduate population are North Carolina residents. And about 1 percent are residents of other states.

Data shows 81 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 73 students received grants or scholarships totaling $440,295.

Including all undergraduates (1,543), 531 students used grants or scholarships totaling $2.8 million.
