Cost of college was unchanged for all students at Roanoke-Chowan Community College

In-state tuition and fees were unchanged for 2018-19 at Roanoke-Chowan Community College, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

North Carolina residents paid $2,642 to attend the two-year public institution in both the 2017-18 and 2018-19 academic years.

Non-resident students would have paid 232.6 percent more than residents this year, or $8,786. Non-resident tuition and fees were unchanged from $8,786 in 2017-18.

About 86 percent of the school's undergraduate population are North Carolina residents.

Data shows 95 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 55 students received grants or scholarships totaling $286,921.

Including all undergraduates (751), 356 students used grants or scholarships totaling $1.7 million.
