Graduates earn 35 degrees, certificates from Mid-Atlantic Christian University

About 60 percent of the 35 degrees and certificates handed out by Mid-Atlantic Christian University in 2017-18 were to students in theology and religious vocations programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in City conferred 19 bachelor's degrees and 2 associate's degrees in theology and religious vocations programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in youth ministry. Data shows the school gave out 10 bachelor's degrees in youth ministry, followed by 6 bachelor's degrees in pre-theology/pre-ministerial studies and 5 certificates in family systems.

The university enrolled 196 students for 2017-18, all of whom were enrolled in undergraduate programs.
