Graduates earn 392 degrees, certificates from Pamlico Community College

About 36.2 percent of the 392 degrees and certificates handed out by Pamlico Community College in 2017-18 were to students in health professions and related programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Grantsboro conferred 119 certificates and 23 associate's degrees in health professions and related programs.

But the single most popular program was for a certificate in "other" mental and social health services and allied professions. Data shows the school gave out 92 certificates in "other" mental and social health services and allied professions, followed by 39 certificates in electrician and 29 certificates in plumbing technology/plumber.

The college enrolled 527 students for 2017-18, all of whom were enrolled in undergraduate programs.
