Rep. Bobby Hanig (R-Currituck) highlighted his 2020 legislative accomplishments through multiple Facebook posts.
The District 6 representative is running for reelection against Democratic candidate Tommy Fulcher.
In his Oct. 12 post, Hanig focused on legislation related to agriculture, disaster recovery and development in rural locations.
Hanig posted that the Farm Act promoted and enhanced the agriculture industry. It does so by easing burdensome regulations, marketing of the state's agriculture products, providing flexibility for farms and easing onerous restrictions.
The second bill, the Storm Recovery Act, provided more relief to victims of hurricanes Dorian, Florence, Michael and Matthew, he said in his post. It also includes funding for debris removal and infrastructure repairs.
In his second post, Hanig discussed education.
"North Carolina now has the second-highest teacher pay in the Southeast after five consecutive pay raises provided by the Republican-led legislature," Hanig wrote in the Oct. 13 post. "The State has moved ahead of 18 others in national educator pay rankings since 2014."
