Census Bureau: 76.9 percent of people in Gaston were old enough to vote in 2019

Of the 1,358 citizens living in Gaston in 2019, 1,044 were old enough to vote as of Jan. 26, according to U.S. Census Bureau data.

The bureau reported 645 of those people were female and 399 were male.

Data for this story was compiled from the bureau’s American Community Survey. Information from the survey helps to determine how federal and state funds are distributed.

Statistical data for 2020 will be released later this year.
