City of Havelock issued the following announcement on Oct. 15.
In order to comply with Federal and State regulations, the City of Havelock Public Utilities Department will be conducting the annual flushing of the water system that will begin on October 17th with a target completion date of November 17th. Flushing hours will be from 8:00 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. Approximately 560 hydrants will be flushed.
