COUNTY OF CAMDEN: NWS Wakefield Briefing - Tidal Flooding Increasing This Weekend Key Points

County of Camden issued the following announcement on Nov. 5. 

Tides will build Friday through Saturday and Sunday. High tides with the most flooding will occur during the morning / early afternoon high tides this weekend.

 Middle and Upper Bay –Minor / Shallow flooding in the most vulnerable locations near the waterfront and shoreline resulting in a low threat of property damage.

 Lower Bay –Tides build to near Moderate flooding with widespread flooding of vulnerable areas will result in elevated threat of property damage.

VA Beach Coastline south across the OuterBanks Major flooding will cause extensive inundation along the coast. Waves of 8 to 12 ftwill result in extensive waverun up resulting in some erosion of dune structures.
