City of Washington issued the following announcement on Feb. 14.
What’s YOUR flooding priority?
Last fall, Beaufort County and three municipalities — Aurora, Belhaven and Washington — asked for public input on issues, needs and opportunities related to flooding via a public survey. The next step is open houses to gather input on community priorities.
Washington’s in-person open house is TODAY from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at the Washington Civic Center ballroom.
AND/OR attend the county’s virtual open house Monday, Feb. 21, 6 – 7:30 p.m.
