City of Washington issued the following announcement on May 5.
Thanks to the North Carolina Department of Agriculture, Beaufort County Cooperative Extension has secured an opportunity to host a pesticide collection day in Beaufort County on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 from 10A-2P.
The contractor and NCDA personnel will be at the Cooperative Extension Office (155 Airport Road, Washington) from 10A-2P to receive any pesticides you wish to dispose.
Call Sam or Morgan at 252-946-0111 to register if you plan to bring anything that day.
Nearly all pesticide products will be accepted. For liquid pesticide containers larger than 5 gallons or for unlabeled pesticides, please contact Rod Gurganus by email (rod_gurganus@ncsu.edu) or phone (252-943-5832) for information before bringing them to the collection event. No gas cylinders are accepted at the event; however, assistance information can be provided.
