City of Elizabeth City Police Department issued the following announcement on Sept. 19.
The Elizabeth City Police Department would like to recognize National Hispanic Heritage Month, which began on September 15th and will end on October 15th.
National Hispanic Heritage Month was created to recognize the contributions and influence of the Hispanic culture in the history and achievements of the United States.
Hispanic Heritage Month is nationally celebrated annually
