City of New Bern Parks and Recreation Department issued the following announcement on Sept. 30.
The City of New Bern Parks and Recreation and Crystal Coast Stargazers Club are co-hosting an International View the Moon event at Union Point Park!
This event is open to all ages and skill levels. Bring your own telescope, or use one that we'll have onsite! Volunteer astronomers will be onsite to assist!
"International Observe, the Moon Night, is an annual worldwide public engagement program that encourages observation, appreciation, and understanding of our Moon and its connection to NASA planetary science and exploration" (NASA, 2021).
