City of Elizabeth City/Pasquotank County Parks and Recreation Department issued the following announcement on Dec. 18.
Being a pre-teen can be hard!
Social and Emotional Learning is designed to give boys and girls ages 9-11 a safe place to learn how to deal with the challenges of everyday life.
Social and emotional learning, also referred to as early childhood mental health, refers to children’s emerging capacity to Experience, regulate and express a range of emotions.
Develop close, satisfying relationships with other children and adults.
Actively exploring their environment, after covid-19 struck some children were suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety and depression.
