CITY OF NEW BERN: Spring Session of New Bern 101 is Mow Full | CITY OF NEW BERN: (newbernnc.gov)
City of New Bern issued the following announcement on Feb. 5.
The spring session of New Bern 101 is now full. We don't think we've ever filled up this quickly, so thanks for your interest in this program!
Applicants for the spring session will soon receive information & instructions regarding the program's kickoff.
New Bern 101 is an interactive program designed to introduce participants to local government. The program lasts 8-weeks and is similar to a citizens academy, but you do not have to be a resident of the city to participate.
Participants meet staff and elected officials, and gain insight into how government decisions, programs, and services affect quality of life. They also get behind-the-scenes tours of city projects and facilities.
New Bern 101 is free and open to the public. If you're interested in applying, the next session will be held in the fall.
