Roanoke Rapids High School had the highest enrollment among Halifax County schools, welcoming 766 students during the 2022-23 school year, according to the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction.

Among the 22 schools in Halifax County, Chaloner Middle School ranked second in enrollment numbers with 618 students, while Manning Elementary School welcomed 597 students and ranked third in the 2022-23 school year.

Roanoke Rapids High School is part of Roanoke Rapids City Schools district, which roughly covers institutions within Halifax County and has a main office in Roanoke Rapids.

In the previous school year, Roanoke Rapids High School also had the highest number of students among Halifax County schools.
