In the 2022-23 school year, Math scores among the county district rose to 14.2%, an increase of 1.3% from the previous school year when 12.9% of students were considered ready for post-secondary education.
For comparison, North Carolina saw 23.5% of its students meeting or exceeding the ACT benchmarks for Math during this year.
Beyond Math, 29.2% of Perquimans County 12th-graders met English college readiness benchmarks in the 2022-23 school year. On Reading, 26.5% of students were ready for college, and Science scores revealed 20.4% of seniors also met the standard.
