County of Beaufort issued the following announcement on Jul. 5.
2021 CANDIDATE FILING DATES
Towns of Aurora, Bath, Chocowinity, Pantego, Washington Park and the City of Washington
Filing Starts - Friday, July 2nd, 2021 at 12:00 Noon
Board of Elections Office will be CLOSED on Monday, July 5th, 2021 for the July 4th Holiday
Filing Ends – Friday, July 16th, 2021 at 12:00 Noon
Town of Belhaven
Filing Starts – Monday, July 26th, 2021 at 12:00 Noon
Filing Ends – Friday, August 13th, 2021 at 12:00 Noon
All filing fees are $10.00 and must be made in the form of cash or personal check. More information can be found concerning filing by clicking HERE.
Candidate forms may be brought in completed or the Board of Election will produce those for you to sign. Notaries are available at the Board of Elections office for filing. Forms may also be completed, notarized, and mailed to the Board of Elections Office but must be received in the Board of Elections office by noon on the last day of filing.
