North Carolina residents whose homes were damaged by Hurricane Florence or Matthew can seek help from the ReBuild NC Homeowner Recovery Program.
During October, the NC Pro Bono Resource Center and Legal Aid of North Carolina will continue to help state residents with their ReBuild NC applications, Sen. Bob Steinburg (R-Edenton) said on his Facebook page on Sept. 28.
Homeowners receive help with repairs, reconstruction, elevation or even replacement of houses. They can be reimbursed for repairs. North Carolinians can apply even if they’ve received assistance from other sources.
Call 1-866-219-5262 to make an appointment to fill out an application at a local ReBuild NC Center. An inspector will visit the home to assess damages and determine if reconstruction, repair or elevation is needed, or if the homeowner qualifies for reimbursement, ReBuild NC reported. Upon approval, a contractor gets assigned to your project.
Legal Aid of North Carolina’s Disaster Relief Project helps low-income survivors of natural disasters at any time with legal matters related to the recovery process.
