Halifax County issued the following announcement on Dec. 23.
PUBLIC NOTICE OF REMOTE MEETINGS
PURSUANT TO G.S. 166A-19.24
Pursuant to Emergency Declaration dated December 16, 2020, related to the COVID-19 pandemic, notice is hereby given that until further notice all meetings of the Halifax County Board of Commissioners will be entirely virtual and conducted remotely as authorized under G.S. 166A-19.24. Remote meetings will be streamed in real time so that live audio, and video, if any, of such meetings are available to the public. This notice does not change the previously published dates and times for regular meetings of the board.
The public will have simultaneous access to the remote meetings of the board through Zoom by clicking on this link:

Meetings can also be accessed (audio only) by dialing 1-470-250-9358 or 1-470-381-2552, then dialing the Meeting ID Number 919 704 1812 when prompted.
Log-in or dial-in no earlier than 15 minutes before the scheduled start of the meeting. Members of the public must maintain their device or phone on mute throughout the meeting unless recognized to address the Board.
