CITY OF HAVELOCK: August 1st Ribbon Cutting: Woodhaven Drive/Bridge Project

City of Havelock issued the following announcement on Aug. 3.

On September 14, 2018, Hurricane Florence brought 40-45 inches of rain to coastal North Carolina causing widespread flooding and infrastructure damage.

The City of Havelock experienced damage to several public infrastructure facilities, including Woodhaven Drive/Bridge, which serves as a connection between commercial areas on Highway 70 and residential neighborhoods.

This $1.9 million FEMA reimbursable repair project, awarded to Hazen Engineering and Trader Construction, will be complete and open to the traveling public on Monday, August 1, 2022.

Prior to the officially opening of Woodhaven Drive/Bridge, a ribbon cutting ceremony will take place onsite at 8:30 a.m. on August 1st.
