CITY OF ELIZABETH CITY: Hurricane Ian Update #4

City of Elizabeth City issued the following announcement on Sept. 30.

Hurricane Ian is currently about 100 south of McClellanville, South Carolina where a second landfall is expected early this afternoon. Moderate to heavy rainfall will increase throughout the area later today and into the overnight bringing 3-5” of rain with higher amounts possible in some areas. There is a moderate chance of flash flooding . 

A Wind Advisory is in effect with sustained winds of 20-30mph with gusts 35-40mph possible. A chance of rain continues through Tuesday as the remnants of Ian move off shore.
