CarolinaEast Medical Center has been acknowledged as one of America's 100 Best Hospitals for Patient Experience by the Women's Choice Award. This recognition places CarolinaEast among the top hospitals in its category based on bed count, and it also received high marks in Heart Care, Cancer Care, Obstetrics, and Minimally Invasive Surgery.
The Women's Choice Award is known for being a reliable source that highlights the best hospitals across the nation using stringent criteria including clinical performance, patient satisfaction, and accreditations. The selection process for this award incorporates specific results from the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) survey along with primary research on women's healthcare preferences. According to studies, 86% of women are willing to travel up to 50 miles for a hospital rated best in inpatient experience.
